Meet your trainer

Christina Alyson Maldonado is a certified fitness instructor who enjoys helping others to learn practical ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Christina’s battle with post-birth weight gain led her to make necessary changes that have produced sustained results and the creation of the FitMomATL programs. Christina brings a joyful and upbeat attitude in her quest to help women develop a healthy lifestyle they can enjoy. Christina has been a motivational speaker for over a decade and has spoken at conferences nationwide and beyond. She enjoys facilitating corporate and group fitness experiences, and teaches group fitness classes both inside and outside of the city of Atlanta. She and her husband of over 15 years have a passion for serving in God’s church and have been in the full-time ministry for over a decade. They reside south of Atlanta with their two daughters Layla and Aria. They have a family motto: Happy, Healthy, Fun!

My Fitness Journey

Yes. This Was Me.

After I gave birth to my second child and the extra 40+ pounds that came with her I looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize myself anymore. It wasn’t until I attended a women’s retreat that following year that I realized not only was I not taking care of the temple God gave me I lacked some serious discipline. However, the diet trends I heard my peers embarking on sounded dreadful. I liked to eat. Like I really like to eat! I knew I had to find the right changes that would have a lasting impact not just on me, but on my family. As it turned out, I wasn’t the only one experiencing these challenges and what started out as a personal journey became a passion to teach and train others that their health and fitness did not have to be a burden.

I’m thrilled to be able to share my approach with women and mothers alike who want to make needed changes in their lives and just need a little encouragement along the way.
